Privacy Policy
Effective & Last Updated: July 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Namaz Call Blocker (NCB), founded and developed by Mohd Danish. This application is designed as a focused devotional utility to help users maintain uninterrupted peace and focus during Islamic prayer times (Salah).
We operate under a transparent two-tier privacy framework: all core call screening and prayer features execute 100% locally on your device, while third-party mobile advertising (Google AdMob) is integrated solely to keep the application free for millions of Muslims worldwide.
2. Core On-Device Features
Namaz Call Blocker provides automated local functionality during user-configured prayer slots:
- Automatic incoming call rejection during active Salah prayer slots.
- Automatic device audio mode switching between Normal, Silent, Vibrate, or Do Not Disturb.
- Optional automated SMS dispatch to callers notifying them that you are praying in the Masjid.
- On-device history logs of blocked calls and VIP whitelist contacts.
3. Personal Data Protection Guarantee
Your personal communication data never leaves your smartphone.
The application requires no user accounts, passwords, or cloud sign-ups. Your phone numbers, contact address book, SMS auto-reply text content, call screening records, and local prayer timetable adjustments are stored exclusively in your device's physical memory. We do not operate remote databases to store your personal communications, and we will never sell or monetize your contact records or private messages.
4. Android System Permissions Explained
The app requests Android operating system permissions strictly necessary to execute its functions:
Call Screening & Management
Used by Android's native CallScreeningService to identify incoming phone numbers against active Salah schedules and suppress ringtones locally.
Do Not Disturb & Audio Settings
Allows the app to automatically toggle ringer volume between Normal, Vibrate, and Silent during prayer times and restore normal audio afterwards.
SMS Dispatch (Optional)
Used only when you manually activate the Auto-Reply feature. Outgoing SMS messages are dispatched directly via your cellular carrier line.
Precise / Coarse Location (Optional GPS)
Used solely on-device to compute high-accuracy astronomical Islamic prayer timings (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha) based on your coordinates. GPS coordinates are never uploaded to our servers.
Battery Optimization & Background Work
Requested so Android's Doze mode does not terminate silent prayer timers while your phone is resting in your pocket.
Internet & Network State Access
Utilized exclusively by the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK to fetch and render advertisements. Core call-blocking and prayer calculation features continue to function offline without internet access.
5. Local Storage & Data Deletion
All user settings, custom prayer times, whitelist contacts, and blocked call records are saved strictly in your device's local sandboxed database (SQLite / Room).
How to delete your data: You retain complete control over your information. You can permanently erase all application data at any time by navigating to Android Settings > Apps > Namaz Call Blocker > Storage > Clear Data, or by simply uninstalling the application.
6. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)
To provide Namaz Call Blocker as a free utility without requiring paid user subscriptions, our Android app integrates Google AdMob (provided by Google LLC).
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and process certain technical information, including:
- Device Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (GAID / AAID), Android ID, and operating system build details.
- Approximate Geolocation: Coarse location inferred from your IP address to serve regionally relevant and language-appropriate ads.
- Ad Interaction Metrics: Information regarding ad impressions, clicks, view duration, and technical performance/diagnostic data.
This data is handled directly by Google under their privacy principles. For comprehensive information about how Google uses data from apps that use its services, please consult Google's Privacy & Terms at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
7. Advertising Choices & Opt-Out
You have full control over interest-based advertising on your Android device:
- Reset or Delete Advertising ID: On Android 12+, go to Settings > Google > Ads and tap "Reset advertising ID" or "Delete advertising ID". This disconnects past ad interaction history from future requests.
- Opt Out of Personalization: You may also opt out of personalized ads via your Google Account Settings or by choosing non-personalized ads in the in-app consent dialog. When opted out, you will still see ads, but they will be contextual rather than based on your browsing interests.
8. International Privacy Rights (GDPR, UK & CCPA/CPRA)
European Economic Area (EEA), UK & Switzerland
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR, users in these regions are presented with a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP / User Messaging Platform) upon first launch. You can grant or withhold consent for cookies, mobile identifiers, and personalized ad serving at any time.
California & US State Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
We do not sell personal information as defined by California privacy statutes. Any transmission of identifiers by Google AdMob for targeted advertising complies with applicable state regulations, and users can opt out via device-level advertising controls.
9. Children's Privacy
Namaz Call Blocker is a general audience utility intended for individuals aged 13 and older (or 16 in certain European jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe an underage child has provided personal information through our contact channels, please notify us immediately so we can promptly delete it.
10. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new Android OS capabilities, Google AdMob SDK upgrades, or Google Play Developer Policy amendments. Any revisions will be published on this URL with an updated effective date.
